LINCOLN AIR SUSPENSION FORUM

If you feel you’ve been wronged-
- Give the shop a fair chance to rectify the situation. Provide detailed
paperwork that will help it track your repair and billing, and let it attempt
to repair the problem. Discuss any discounts or compensation you feel you’re
due before the repair, and get a written agreement from the shop verifying the
terms upon which everyone has agreed.
- If the shop management is contentious, or the issue is not resolved to
your satisfaction, contact the Better Business
Bureau. Take the time to substantiate the complaint by providing a written
account of the questionable transaction. People don’t always take the time to
do this, which is one of the weaknesses of the BBB system. If you don’t
provide the written account, the BBB can’t accumulate a complete file on a
shoddy shop, and other customers down the line will fall prey to the same
problem.
- Contact the Consumer Protection Bureau of your State Attorney General’s
office. Not only does it give information about specific repair shops, but it
also investigates auto-repair complaints and sometimes can help you get
compensation.
